The three kinds of answering service

1. AI receptionist (AI answering service). Software answers every call, 24/7, talks to the caller, takes the details, books appointments and texts or emails you a summary. It's billed per minute or per call, so cost scales with volume.
2. Live virtual receptionist. A remote team of real people answers in your business's name. They're better at unusual or emotional calls, and billed per minute or per call at a much higher rate.

Worked example: about 100 calls a month

Say your business gets 100 calls a month, averaging 3 minutes each: 300 minutes in total.
