How Much Does CrowdStrike Cost? 2026 Falcon Pricing, Explained.

CrowdStrike is one of the few enterprise security vendors that publishes real prices, which makes it unusually easy to evaluate. It also means the published number is frequently quoted without the context that decides whether it is the right number for you.

Here are the actual figures, what each tier does and does not include, and the traps.

The published prices

Direct from CrowdStrike's pricing page, September 2026:

A 15-day free trial is available for Falcon Prevent, Device Control and Express Support, with no credit card required.

Quote-only, no published rate: Falcon Complete MDR, Falcon Identity Protection, Falcon Cloud Security, Falcon Next-Gen SIEM, Falcon Data Protection, Falcon Exposure Management and Falcon for IT.

What each tier includes

All three published tiers share a base: next-gen antivirus (Falcon Prevent), device control, mobile device protection, and express support.

• Go — that base, capped at 100 devices.
• Pro — adds firewall management.
• Enterprise — adds endpoint detection and response (Falcon Insight XDR) plus threat intelligence and managed threat hunting (Falcon Adversary OverWatch).
• Complete — 24/7 expert-led managed detection and response, with a breach prevention warranty.

The trap in the headline price

Read that list again, because this is the part that costs people money:

EDR does not appear until Falcon Enterprise.

Falcon Go and Falcon Pro are next-gen antivirus. Good antivirus — but not EDR, which is behaviour-based detection with recording and response.

This matters commercially, not just technically. When a cyber-insurance application or an enterprise client questionnaire asks "do you deploy EDR?", the honest answer on Go or Pro is no. So the relevant comparison price for most businesses buying to satisfy those requirements is $19.99 per device per month, not $7.99.

Two more things people miss:

"Firewall management" is not a firewall. It centrally manages the firewall already built into Windows and macOS. It is not a perimeter appliance and does not replace one.

Per device, not per user. A person with a laptop, a desktop and a phone is one user and three devices. On a 40-person company where half have two machines, Enterprise is around $1,200/month, not $800.

What CrowdStrike does not cover

Verified against CrowdStrike's own product documentation. These are not criticisms — no endpoint vendor covers them — but they are budget lines people forget:

Where it is genuinely strong: endpoint and EDR, identity protection covering Entra ID and on-premise Active Directory, managed threat hunting, and Falcon for IT, which actually deploys patches rather than only reporting missing ones. That last point is a real advantage over several competitors.

The number that is not on the page

Licence cost is not programme cost.

Falcon Enterprise gives you EDR and a console. Somebody still has to watch that console — triage detections, decide which matter, and respond within minutes at any hour. If nobody does, you have bought excellent software that will faithfully detect an intrusion nobody reads about for six weeks.

That is what Falcon Complete exists for, and why it is quote-only. It is also what MDR means generally, and what a managed provider supplies regardless of which vendor's agent is underneath.

So the realistic comparison is not "$19.99 versus a competitor's list price." It is:

• Licence alone — $19.99/device/mo, plus somebody internal doing 24/7 triage
• Managed — roughly $10–$30 per endpoint per month, or $25–$55 per user per month bundled with email security, identity protection, awareness training and backup

Below about 100 staff the bundled route is usually both cheaper and more effective, because per-device pricing penalises multi-device users and because the licence-alone route quietly assumes a job nobody has been assigned.

Buying direct vs through a provider

Buying direct is not automatically cheaper, which surprises people.

Volume licensing held by a provider frequently beats list price, and direct purchase minimums work against small buyers — a pattern across the sector, not unique to CrowdStrike. Huntress, for instance, publishes a 50-unit minimum for direct customers with no minimum for MSP partners.

The more important difference is what comes with it. A licence bought direct is a licence. A licence bought through a provider who monitors it comes with the analysts, the response authority, and someone accountable when an agent stops reporting — which happens more often than anyone expects and is invisible until you check.
